Restbid

Salvage value exchange for machinery & equipment

Machinery salvage values

Automotive salvage exchanges don't reach machinery buyers. Restbid brings damaged machines and used equipment to the dealers, dismantlers and exporters who bid on them — sealed, binding, documented.

Early access: listing and bidding currently free of charge.

Process

From listing to salvage value certificate

Every step is logged with a timestamp — the bid summary can be used as evidence in appraisals and claims settlement.

  1. Day 0

    List the asset

Photos, condition description, location and optionally an appraisal excerpt. Set the bidding deadline — done.

  2. Days 1–5

    Sealed bids come in

Verified commercial bidders place sealed bids. Nobody sees anyone else's bid — what counts is true willingness to pay.

  3. Deadline

    Bids become binding

Every bid remains valid for four weeks. The bidder commits to collecting the asset at the bid price.

  4. Afterwards

    Salvage value certificate as PDF

Bid summary with amounts, timestamps and bidder companies — solid documentation for appraisals and insurers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the machinery exchange

Which machines and equipment can I list?

Forestry, agricultural and construction machines, forklifts and material handling, machine and production tools, woodworking, presses, municipal equipment and workshop gear — especially with fire, water, accident, engine, hydraulic or electronics damage.

How binding are the bids?

Every bid is binding for 4 weeks (28 calendar days) from the deadline. The award obliges the bidder to collect and pay at the bid price — bidders who fail to do so are suspended.

Who can see my machine and the bids?

Only registered, manually verified commercial participants can see the objects. Bids are sealed: no bidder sees the bids of others — the highest bid is only revealed after the deadline.

Is the certificate suitable for my appraisal?

Yes. The PDF salvage-value certificate documents all bids with timestamps and bidder data and is designed as evidence for insurers and courts.

What does the salvage-value determination cost?

For listers, the salvage-value determination costs €15 net per object; registration is free. No fees are charged during the current pilot phase.
